Secondary Events

Learn how to create multiple RSVP blocks, in order to manage secondary events like rehearsal dinners, after-parties, or breakout sessions.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You can add multiple independent RSVP blocks to create additional activities such as:

  • Rehearsal Dinner

  • After Party

  • Welcome Reception

  • VIP Early Entry

  • Workshops / Breakout Sessions

Each RSVP block can function as its own event, and you control who sees it using logic settings.

Step 1 — Add Another RSVP Block

1️⃣ Go to RSVP Form Builder:

2️⃣ Click + next to the section where you'd like to add the Secondary event:

3️⃣ Choose Simple RSVP (or another RSVP choice block):

4️⃣ Rename the block to match your event - EX: “After Party*”:

Each RSVP block you add becomes a potential secondary event on your form.

Step 2 - Customize RSVP Options

Example:
Guests will see both events unless you apply logic rules — so let’s do that next 👇

Step 3 - Set Logic to Control Who Sees the Event

Select the block (ex: “After Party”), scroll to Logic settings:

You can choose from 3 conditional options:

Display to Guests Tagged As…

Great for:

  • VIPs

  • Bridal party

  • Sponsors

  • Staff only blocks

You can upload a guest list and tag guests accordingly.

Show/Hide Based on a Previous RSVP

Examples:

  • Show After Party only if primary event = Attending

  • Show Reception only if “Adult” is selected

Display Based on Invite List Info

Examples:

  • Only show to emails ending in @company.com

  • Only show to guests from a specific table or group

    Example Use Case

Show the “After Party” event only for guests invited with the tag party

  • Add the RSVP block

  • Apply Display to guests tagged as… → party
✅ Only those guests will see the block on the form

💡 Tips & Best Practices

  • Place secondary events after the main RSVP block for a smoother flow

  • Preview the form with different guest scenarios to confirm logic works correctly

  • If using an invite list, apply tags first before testing visibility
