How to Import a Guest List into Your Event
Importing a guest list into an event provides you with more tracking capabilities, as well as additional control over who is able to register for the event. This feature is especially useful for events with limited capacity or exclusive guest lists. In this article, we will guide you through the different ways of adding individuals to your guest list.
Manually Adding Guests
The first way to add individuals to your guest list is by manually entering their information. This option is perfect for adding a small number of guests or for those who prefer to have complete control over their guest list. To manually add a guest, follow these steps:
Open the Guest list option on your event:
Click on the 'Add Guest' option
Add the guest details for the individual/couple/group of guests that will become a part of your guest list and click 'Save & Close' once all the details have been confirmed
Importing from a Spreadsheet
If you have a large guest list or already have the information saved in a spreadsheet, you can easily import it into your event's guest list. This option saves you time and effort, as you won't have to manually enter each guest's information. To import from a spreadsheet, follow these steps:
In the 'Import Guests' dropdown, choose the 'Import from spreadsheet' option:
Once the import menu opens, you can either click the 'Browse computer' button to find the import file, or drag and drop it into the import window. If you want to ensure the columns match the ones in RSVPify, you can also download our spreadsheet template for reference.
Once this list is added, click the 'upload' button and then proceed to match the spreadsheet columns with RSVPify fields:
Confirm everything looks good on the preview of the import, before clicking the import button to complete the process:
Importing from Your Contacts List
The third way to add individuals to your guest list is by importing them from your pre-existing contacts list. This option is perfect if you have already created a list of contacts in RSVPify and want to easily invite them to their event. To import from your contacts list, follow these steps:
Choose the 'Import from Contacts' option from the 'Import Guests' menu in the guest list:
Click on the names of the contacts who will be invited to the event, and then complete the import through the 'Add Guests' option:
