How to Export Your Contacts List

Whether you're sharing your audience with your marketing team, syncing to an external CRM, or keeping a backup before making bulk changes, exporting your Contacts list takes just a few clicks.

You control exactly which contacts are included and which columns of data come with them.

How to export your contacts

  1. From the left navigation bar, click the Contacts icon to open your workspace Contacts list.

  2. Click Export in the top-right corner.

  3. Choose your column scope:

    • Export visible columns only - exports only the columns currently shown in your Contacts table.

    • Export all columns - exports every available data field, including fields not currently visible in your table.

  4. Your CSV file will download automatically.

Export a filtered subset of contacts

If you only need a specific group - for example, all contacts tagged "Sponsor" or everyone with a specific email domain - apply a filter first, then export with Include filtered results only toggled on.

Step 1: Apply a filter

Click Add filter and select the field you want to filter by. Available filter fields include:

  • Full name

  • First name / Last name

  • Email

  • Street address

  • Tags

  • Organization

  • And more

Step 2: Set your condition

Once you've selected a field, choose your condition: is, is not, has any value, or is unknown. For tag filters, select the specific tag value from the dropdown (e.g., "party," "Gold Star").

Step 3: Export with filter applied

Click Export, toggle on Include filtered results only, then choose Export visible columns only or Export all columns.

Only contacts matching your active filter will be included in the export.

Customize which columns appear in your export

If you choose Export visible columns only, the export reflects exactly what's shown in your Contacts table. To control which columns are visible:

  1. Click the columns icon (the sliders icon at the far right of the toolbar).

  2. A Choose Columns panel opens with a searchable list of available fields, including First name, Last name, Email, CC Email Recipient, Organization, Tags, and any custom fields you've created.

  3. Check or uncheck fields to show or hide them.

  4. Your table updates immediately - and your next visible-columns export will reflect those choices.

Planner tip: Before or after an event, export your full Contacts list with Export all columns to analyse RSVP patterns and attendance trends across your events. It's especially useful when you're planning your next invite list and want to prioritize past attendees or identify contacts who've never converted from invited to registered.
