How to Delete Contacts in RSVPify

If you need to clean up your workspace Contacts - removing test entries, outdated records, or guests who have requested to be removed - you can delete contacts individually or in bulk.

⚠️ Deletion is permanent. There is no undo. If you're removing a large batch of contacts, export your Contacts list first as a backup: click Export in the top-right corner of the Contacts page before deleting.

Before you delete

Deleting a contact from your workspace Contacts list is permanent and far-reaching.

When you delete a contact, they're removed from all events they registered for or were invited to, not just your Contacts list. Their registration history, RSVP responses, and guest record are removed across your entire workspace.

The reverse isn't true: if you remove someone from a single event's guest list, they remain in your workspace Contacts. Only their registration for that specific event is affected.

If you're unsure about permanently removing someone, consider using Tags to mark contacts as inactive instead, so you keep their data without cluttering your active lists.

Delete one or more contacts

  1. From the left navigation bar, click Contacts to open your workspace Contacts list.

  2. Check the box next to each contact you want to delete.

  3. Once you've made your selection, an X selected pill appears at the top of the list. Click it to open the bulk action menu.

  4. Select Delete (shown with a red trash icon).

  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

That's it: the selected contacts are permanently removed from your workspace.

Delete all contacts at once

  1. Open your Contacts list.

  2. Click the checkbox in the column header (top-left of the table, above the Full Name column) to select all contacts at once. The pill shows the total count selected (for example, 21 selected).

  3. Click the 21 selected pill to open the bulk action menu.

  4. Select Delete.

  5. Confirm the deletion.

Other bulk actions available

When you have contacts selected, the bulk action menu also lets you:

  • Add Tags: apply one or more tags to all selected contacts at once.

  • Remove tags: strip tags from all selected contacts.

These are useful for reorganizing your audience without deleting anyone.
