What is the event image used for?
When you share your event on social media, you want it to stand out and grab people's attention. The event image is pulled when your event link is shared on most social media platforms and messaging apps. This article will guide you through the steps to add an event image to your event.
Recommended Image Size and Format
Different social media platforms and messaging apps may crop or resize your event image differently, so it’s best to use an image that works well across multiple platforms. For the best display, follow these guidelines:
Recommended Size: 1200 x 630 pixels
Aspect Ratio: 1.91:1 (Facebook, LinkedIn, and X/Twitter use this format)
Minimum Size: 600 x 315 pixels (smaller images may not display optimally)
File Type: JPEG or PNG
File Size: Keep it under 5MB for faster loading and better compatibility
Best Practices for Event Images
Keep important details centered: Some platforms may crop the edges, so avoid placing text or key visuals near the borders. For example, this image looks great in iMessage, but gets cut off on Facebook:
Use high-quality images: Blurry or pixelated images may not display well when resized.
Avoid too much text: Some platforms may reject images with excessive text, and text-heavy images might be hard to read in smaller previews.
Use bright, engaging visuals: A clear and eye-catching image increases engagement when shared on social media.
