Visitors can still see event details, they just can't submit a new response. You can close and reopen manually at any time.
Common reasons to close registration:
You've hit capacity and don't want any more registrations
Your RSVP deadline has passed
You need to pause registration temporarily - fixing a pricing error, for example - without taking your whole site down
Close or reopen registration
From your event dashboard, open Settings for your registration form.
Set the form status to Closed to stop new registrations immediately, or Open to resume accepting them.
If closing, customize the message visitors will see in place of the form.
Save.
💡 Tip: Closing the form doesn't unpublish your event website. Guests who visit your event page will still see all your event details - they'll just see your custom closed message instead of the registration form.
💡 Example: A conference closes registration two weeks before the event to give the team a buffer to finalize catering and badge counts. They keep the event website live so registered guests can still access the venue details and agenda - only the form is closed.
Test before publishing
Toggle the form to Closed and open your live event link in an incognito or private browser window. Confirm your custom closed message appears correctly in place of the registration form, then reopen and confirm the form returns.
