Event Registration Testing Checklist

Before sharing your registration link with guests, take a few minutes to test the entire registration experience from start to finish.

A complete test helps ensure guests can register successfully and gives you confidence that everything is working as expected.

πŸ’‘ Planner tip: Complete your testing as though you were one of your guests. Register using each registration path - such as General Admission, VIP, Group Ticket, or Sponsor Registration - to verify every experience works as intended before opening registration.

Event details

☐ Event title and description are correct.

☐ Event date, time, and location are accurate.

☐ Branding, colors, and images display correctly.

☐ Registration button links to the correct form.

☐ Event visibility (Public or Private) is configured correctly.

Event website

☐ Registration button opens the correct form.

☐ Navigation links work correctly.

☐ Images display properly.

☐ Maps, agenda, speakers, sponsors, and other website content display correctly (if used).

☐ Desktop and mobile layouts look correct.

Registration form

☐ Required questions are clearly marked.

☐ Question wording is accurate and easy to understand.

☐ Dropdowns, checkboxes, and multiple-choice questions display the correct options.

☐ Ticket names, pricing, and descriptions are correct.

☐ Group Ticket and additional guest registration works as expected (if used).

☐ Terms & Conditions display correctly (if used).

Registration logic

☐ Conditional logic behaves as expected.

☐ Hidden questions remain hidden.

☐ Required questions only appear when appropriate.

☐ Registration follows the correct path for each guest type.

Capacity and availability

☐ Registration is open.

☐ Ticket availability is correct.

☐ Ticket quantities, registration limits, and capacities are configured correctly.

Registration experience

Complete at least one full test registration before opening registration to guests.

☐ Registration submits successfully.

☐ Confirmation page displays the correct message.

☐ Confirmation email is received.

☐ Calendar invitation is received (if enabled).

☐ Guest information, ticket selection, and registration responses appear correctly in the Guest list.

Day-of event preparation

If you'll be using RSVPify on event day:

☐ Test guest check-in.

☐ Verify guest QR codes can be scanned successfully during check-in.

☐ Confirm any additional check-in staff have access to the event.

Final review

Before opening registration:

☐ Export your Guest list to verify guest information is captured correctly.

☐ Remove any test registrations if they are no longer needed.

☐ Publish any unpublished changes before sharing your registration link.
