Which option should I choose?
Choose Create a New Event if you're building a completely new event experience, such as a new conference, fundraiser, wedding website, or registration flow.
Choose Duplicate an Existing Event if you're repeating an event you've already built, such as an annual conference, board meeting, chapter event, multi-city roadshow, or recurring webinar.

Create a new event
Step 1: Select Create Event
From the left navigation menu, select + Create New…, then + Event (or + Create New Event in the middle of the page).
Step 2: Enter event details
Complete the basic event information:
Field | Description |
Event Name | The name displayed to administrators and attendees throughout the registration experience. |
Event URL | The web address attendees will use to access your event website. |
Type of Event You're Hosting | Select the event type that most closely matches your event. This helps RSVPify recommend relevant templates and starting points. |
Click Next.
Step 3: Enter event date, time & location
Complete your event specifics for date and time. If you're not sure yet, you can skip this step and update it later.

In-person: Enter the address or venue name to automatically populate the location fields.
💡 Note: Adding a venue or address here does not automatically display a map on your event website.
To show a map, open the Website Editor, click the plus button, and add a Map block to your event page:
Virtual: Paste your virtual event or live meeting link.
Hybrid: Enter the address or venue name to populate the address fields (this automatically generates a map on your event website), and paste your virtual event or live meeting link.
Click Next.
Step 4: Select your event template
Templates provide a starting point for your event website design. Most planners choose a template and then customize the colors, imagery, and content to match their event brand. You can:
Start with a blank template and design everything yourself, or
Choose a pre-designed template and customize it to match your brand.
All colors, images, fonts, and content can be customized after your event is created.
⚠️ Important: Your template selection determines the starting design of your event website. Colors, images, content, and branding can all be updated later, but switching to an entirely different template after the event is created isn't currently supported. If you'd like to use a different template, you'll need to create a new event.
When selecting a blank template:
Once you've selected a template, click Create new event.
Duplicate an existing event
Duplicating an event can save significant setup time. After duplicating, be sure to review:
Event name
Event URL
Event dates and times
Venue information
Registration deadlines
Ticket sales dates
Email content
Speaker information
Event imagery
Step 1: Locate the event you want to copy
Find the event you'd like to use as your starting point, then click Actions > Duplicate event.
Step 2: Name your new event and URL
First, decide whether you'd like the duplicated event to remain in your current workspace or move to a different one. To move to a different workspace, toggle on Clone to a different workspace. You'll be asked for your email address, and your workspace selections will auto-populate - select your desired workspace.
Your duplicated event automatically adds "copy" to the end of the event title. Adjust the event name and event URL as needed, then click Next.
Step 3: Enter event date, time & location
Complete your event specifics for date and time. If you're not sure yet, you can skip this step and update it later.

Step 4: Create the duplicate
Click Duplicate. RSVPify will create a new event with all selected settings copied over, and you'll be taken directly to your new event where you can make adjustments before publishing.
💡 Planner tip: If you run recurring events, consider building a "master event" with your preferred branding, registration questions, email templates, and workflows. Future events can then be created in minutes by duplicating that event.
