Paid events on RSVPify just got a lot more complete. You can now sell tickets directly through RSVPify, pass processing fees to attendees, add tax and surcharge support, and collect donations at registration, giving organizers everything they need to run fully compliant paid events without relying on separate platforms or workarounds.
π If you already have paid events set up in RSVPify, your existing configuration is unchanged. The new payment settings are opt-in, so nothing will affect your current checkout experience until you choose to enable them. Note that the order summary will automatically be added to all registrations that include paid items.
Sell Tickets
You can now sell tickets directly through your RSVPify event. Create multiple ticket types, set prices, control availability, and manage capacity, all within the same flow as your event registration. Guests select their ticket type and complete payment in a single checkout experience.
To get started, open your registration form and click Edit Form. Add the ticketing section from the form builder, then configure your ticket types, pricing, and availability.
Order Summary Throughout Registration
Guests on paid events now see a persistent order summary as they move through the registration form, so there are no surprises at checkout. The summary updates in real time to reflect their selected tickets, fees, and any donations, giving guests full visibility into their total before they ever reach the payment step.
Fee Passthrough to Attendees
You can now pass Stripe credit card processing fees and RSVPify service fees directly to ticket buyers at checkout, rather than absorbing them yourself. When fee passthrough is enabled, guests see a transparent total, inclusive of all applicable fees, directly in the ticketing section before they complete their purchase.
To enable fee passthrough, go to Event Settings > Payments and scroll down to Form Payment Settings. From there, you can choose to pass through credit card processing fees, RSVPify service fees, or both. The change takes effect immediately for any new registrations.
Tax and Surcharge Support
You can now add a sales tax rate or a custom surcharge to your paid registrations. Taxes can be configured as a percentage of the ticket price or as a fixed fee, and you can set a custom label so the line item appears exactly as required, whether that's "Sales Tax," "State Tax," or something specific to your event type.
To set this up, go to Event Settings > Payments and scroll down to Form Payment Settings. Enable sales tax, choose whether it applies as a percentage or a fixed amount, and enter your label and rate. The surcharge will appear as a separate line item at checkout so guests can see exactly what they're paying and why.
Donation Block
A new Donation block is now available in the form builder, letting you collect contributions from guests at the same moment they register. No separate donation page, follow-up email, or third-party tool required. You configure preset donation amounts for guests to choose from, and guests can always enter a custom amount if they prefer. You can also set a minimum required donation if your event calls for it.
To add a Donation block, open your registration form and click Edit Form. In the Pre-Registration section, click the plus sign and select Donation. From there, customize your preset donation tiers, set a minimum if needed, and save. Donations are processed through the same payment flow as ticket purchases, so everything is captured in one checkout experience.
