Your RSVPify account holds sensitive guest data - names, emails, and sometimes payment details - so it's worth locking it down with more than just a password. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds a second verification step at login, so even if someone gets hold of your password, they still can't get in without your phone or email.
You can secure your account with either email verification or an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy).
Turn on MFA
Click the Team Members icon in your left-hand navigation.
Select Profile & Security.
(Alternatively, click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Manage account - this leads to the same place.)
Choose your preferred MFA method:
Email verification - A one-time code is sent to your email every time you log in.
Authenticator app - Generate codes using an app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.
Enter your password to confirm.
Complete setup based on your method:
Email verification - No further steps needed.
Authenticator app - Scan the QR code with your app (or enter the secret key manually), enter the code it generates, then click Enable Authenticator App.
Save your backup codes somewhere secure once setup is complete. You'll need these if you ever lose access to your authenticator app or email.
💡 Tip: If you lose your backup codes, you can regenerate a new set at any time - just know your previous codes will be deactivated the moment you do.
Why can't I enable MFA?
If you signed up using Google Single Sign-On (SSO), MFA can't be enabled from within your RSVPify account settings - your authentication is managed directly through Google, which has its own MFA options. To secure your account, set up MFA through your Google Account Security settings instead.
