What is Organizations?
Organizations is a workspace-level feature that lets you create company or institution records and link your contacts to them. Each organization has its own profile with contact details, tags, notes, and a count of how many contacts are associated with it.
Think of it as the company layer sitting above your individual contacts - useful for events where you're managing sponsor companies, corporate delegations, university departments, or member associations.
How to access Organizations
From the left navigation bar, click the Contacts icon, then select Organizations from the popover menu. This opens your workspace Organizations list, showing all organizations with columns for Name, Contacts (count), Notes, Tags, Physical Address, and Phone.
Add a new organization
Click + Add organization in the top-right corner.
A panel opens where you can enter:
Full name - the organization's name
Phone type and number
Tags - to categorize or segment organizations (e.g., "Gold Star," "Sponsor," "Partner")
Physical address - street address, city, state, zip, country
Expand Organization contacts and click + Add contacts to link existing contacts from your workspace to this organization.
A Manage contacts picker opens with two panels — All contacts on the left and Newly added contacts on the right. Search for and select the contacts you want to associate, then click Save Changes.
The organization record is saved with the contact count updated to reflect the linked contacts.
Manage contacts for an existing organization
From your Organizations list, click on any organization to open its record.
Select the Contacts tab.
Click Manage contacts to open the contact picker and add or remove contacts associated with that organization.
Click Save Changes.
The Contacts count in your Organizations list updates automatically to reflect the current number of linked contacts.
Filter your Organizations list
Click Add filter to narrow your organizations list. Available filter options include:
Organization - filter by organization name
Tag - filter by tags applied to the organization
Notes - filter by note content
Contacts - filter by associated contacts
Use filters to quickly pull up a specific company or subset of organizations without scrolling through your entire list.
What each column shows you
Column | What it displays |
Organization | Company or institution name |
Contacts | Number of contacts linked to this organization |
Notes | Any internal notes added to the organization record |
Tags | Tags applied to the organization |
Physical address | Organization's address |
Phone | Organization's phone number |
Planner tip: Organizations is especially powerful for events where you're managing table purchases, sponsor packages, or group registrations by company.
By linking all contacts from the same company to a single organization record, you can quickly see how many people from a given company have registered, check their attendance, and pull that data into your exports - without having to filter by name or email domain every time.
Removing Organizations
To delete an organization:
Check the box next to the organization you want to delete. A purple checkmark confirms it's selected, and a "1 selected" pill appears at the top of the list.
Click the "1 selected" pill to reveal the action menu.
Click Delete (shown with a red trash icon).
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
You can select multiple organizations at once to delete them in bulk.
Note that deleting an organization removes the organization record itself - the contacts linked to it remain in your workspace Contacts list and are not deleted.
